China will add 2.45 million tons of polyester production capacity this year
market participants said on Friday that China plans to open nine new polyester plants this year, and the polyester production capacity is expected to increase by 2.45 million tons/year. Among them, five units will produce polyester yarn for textile industry, with a total capacity of 1.65 million tons/year; In addition, four sets of devices will be used to produce polyester bottle chips for the beverage industry, with a total capacity of 800000 tons, and the experimental force that the sample can withstand is as small as several 10 centinewtons (such as spandex for textile)/year
the current polyester production capacity in China is estimated to be about 26million tons/year
